Print Quality
- Low Ink Usage
- Standard Ink Usage
- High Ink Usage
Ink usage affects the level of detail and smoothness in full-image printing. Higher ink settings can reduce visible banding or striping.
For low-resolution images, the difference between the three settings may be less noticeable.
Important Notes:
When printing and cutting posters/plans, sometimes paper can shrink/curl/stretch causing the finished paper size to be small or larger by up to 5mm.
All poster prints will have a white border. The border size will vary depending on the image size as all images are stretched to fit the selected A2/A1/A0 size. When the images are stretched to fit the page size, they are kept in ratio to prevent the image being stretched.
No double sided option is available on Poster Printing section. Please use A4/A3/A5 section instead.
Auto Bleed is a helpful tool, but manual adjustments may still be required for the best results.
Important Printing Guidelines
Please read the details below carefully.
Multiple files may print out of order
Upload one PDF with pages in the right order wherever you can.
Bulk images can't be guaranteed to print in sequence. For ring binding, use a single file or the binding may be out of order.
File resolution and formats
PDF is recommended. Save at the highest resolution to avoid blurry prints.
Word and Publisher files should be saved as PDF — it stops text shifting from US Letter settings.
Colour mode and fonts
Use CMYK so colours print as expected, and embed your fonts.
Logos, symbols and signatures that aren't embedded may not print correctly.
Corrupted and protected files
Files process automatically. Corrupted, damaged or password-protected files may not print.
Refunds cover missing files, not misprints from corrupted files, and freight on reprints isn't covered.
Printing Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring all artwork, designs and files are correct.
Due to our automated printing process, we do not check or proof files. Any printing errors caused by incorrect files are the customer’s responsibility.
Print Positioning
As with all commercial printing, exact centring to the millimetre cannot be guaranteed as slight paper movement can occur during printing.
Keep anything critical away from the very edge of the page.
Poster and plan quality
Plans print at actual size to keep scale — order A1 from an A4 file and it scales up.
Full images may show banding depending on the quality setting.
It's your artwork, and we print it exactly as supplied
We don't check your files — that's what makes the price possible. Preview before you order and you'll catch almost everything on this page.

We reserve the right to withdraw from any order that cannot be fulfilled due to discontinuation or unavailability of stock.
Printing responsibility
It is your responsibility to ensure that all artwork/designs/files/items (collectively the ‘Artwork’) provided to Print Online is correct. Print Online is not responsible or liable for printing that is done incorrectly due to the incorrect supply of Artwork by you. Print Online does not check the Artwork as the printing process is automatic. Therefore, it is your sole responsibility to ensure your Artwork is in the correct specifications as outlined in this paragraph.
You are solely responsible for making sure your file is print ready. Corrupted, damaged, incorrect formats and password type files may not be included with your order. If our software rejects your file because it is not print ready then that Artwork and order will not be printed. A refund will not be given to you for misprints due to corrupted files.
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your print satisfies the following:
- all prints except plan prints are printed to ‘fit’ the ‘page size’ selected (not stretched but kept to ratio);
- all plan prints are printed as actual size under the plan print selection;
- Print Online cannot guarantee exact image centering down to the millimetre as paper can move during the print process and you agree and acknowledge this;
- Print Online recommends one PDF file with multiple pages in the desired order for your prints. If multiple files are uploaded Print Online cannot guarantee that these individual files will be printed in order. Print Online cannot print bulk images in order;
- if you are printing double sided images, please add one (1) product with two (2) images to the cart each time;
- print designs must have no trim and no registration marks. If these are included then they will be printed on the page;
- the digital file should be in its highest resolution to avoid blurry or pixelated prints;
- prints should have CMYK colour so that colours do not look different once printed;
- any fonts should be embedded so that they are not changed or look different once printed;
- if the print has any logos/symbols/signatures that are not embedded, they may not be printed on the page and you agree and acknowledge this; and
- Print Online does not check order finish types and order quantities as the printing process is automatic. Therefore, you must ensure that the order finish type and order quantities are correct.
Print colour & paper type
Due to printer hardware changes and paper supply changes, we are unable to guarantee the same print colour and paper type on previous orders. When hardware is upgraded or paper stock is changed, different hardware brands produce different colour tones & finishes and we are unable to match previous hardware or supplier specifications.
Colour matching is also not guaranteed as different colour profiles are used between different print companies, and not one print company uses the same colour profiles as the other. An example being offset printing produces different colours to digital printers.
GSM stands for ‘grams per square metre’ and refers to the weight of the paper. The heavier the paper, the higher the number of grams per square metre – and, generally, the higher the perceived quality of the stock. This is sometimes referred to as the paper’s ‘grammage’.
Shipping
You are solely responsible in ensuring any delivery address and details are correct. All orders shipped are without signature being required (authority to leave). Print Online does not provide a signature service. You acknowledge that any person at the stipulated delivery address who receives the goods is authorised by you to receive those goods. Print Online does not accept responsibility or liability for lost goods due to incorrect details being provided.
You agree and acknowledge that from time to time there will be shipping delays from third party providers due to road closures, sea freight delays, air freight delays, incorrect address, unexpected demand and more. Print Online accepts no responsibility for delivery failures or delays from third party providers. Please refer to that provider’s terms and conditions. Print Online will not give refunds for third party provider delays.
You acknowledge and agree that any person at the delivery address who receives the goods is authorised by you to receive your order. If there is no one available at the time of delivery to accept the goods, or if there is limited access to the delivery address the goods will be returned for delivery at a later date or otherwise left at your delivery address.
Processing times
Orders made during the weekend and public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
Orders made on Friday will be delivered on the next business day.
Unexpected demand may cause processing delays.
Freight delays
We pay our freight companies to deliver your packages on overnight delivery (excluding rural). We have cut off times to ensure we can meet the freight company dispatch deadline.
From time to time, there will be delays from the freight company due to many different reasons. Road closures, sea freight delays, air freight delays, incorrect addresses, unexpected demand increase etc can be some of the reasons why some packages do not arrive in time.
Any shipping delays caused by freight providers will need to be followed up directly with the freight provider. We will provide you with tracking details once your order has been dispatched. Please check your junk/spam folder for this information if you have not received your tracking details.
Refunds will not be given for freight company delays. Once the goods have been dispatched on time from our location, our obligation has been fulfilled. If we have not fulfilled your order within the required cut off time, we will make contact where applicable to discuss the options.
